We worked with the PSI team to find a suitable filming location, convenient for interviewees to travel to and with the appropriate backdrop and facilities. We also developed interview questions, sharing them with the marketing team and interviewees prior to filming to ensure we covered all key messages.

The brief

With decades of experience in the testing industry, the voice of Subject Matter Experts in PSI is essential for building trust and credibility with current and potential clients. Our sister company, Transform Comms, works closely with the PSI marketing team on content marketing to amplify this voice.

When the PSI team mentioned that two senior leaders were visiting London from the US and Canada, we highlighted it as a great opportunity to get them in front of the camera. The resulting videos would be used across the newly developed PSI website and social media channels, sharing expertise and insights on trending topics in the industry, as well as priority products and service areas for PSI.

The solution

We worked with the PSI team to find a suitable filming location, convenient for interviewees to travel to and with the appropriate backdrop and facilities. We also developed interview questions, sharing them with the marketing team and interviewees prior to filming to ensure we covered all key messages.

While a site visit beforehand wasn’t possible, photos of the room we’d be filming in helped us design the set beforehand. The space and light were challenging but our team have the right kit and skills to make it look great.

On the day, we turned up super early (and fuelled by coffee) to set up and make sure cameras and microphones were all positioned perfectly. When our interviewees turned up, it was lights, camera, action! Our team is experienced at interviewing Subject Matter Experts to create a wide variety of content types. They asked pre-prepared questions and spotted opportunities to dive deeper and uncover more material.

The results

After filming, we edited many hours of footage to create a series of impactful and engaging short videos, with accompanying reels for social media.

Our interviewees fed back that they were nervous before the day, but our questions and thorough briefing really helped — they even enjoyed the experience! The marketing team were delighted we managed to get so much footage in such a short space of time, covering key messages and highlighting areas of expertise in the business. The videos are now embedded on the PSI website and used regularly on socials and in presentations.
